Second Chances and a Second Song
Second Song
Elevating Alcohol Awareness & Inspiring ChangeWelcome to Second Song, birthed from a transformation that began with a wake-up call that was more like a gong than a gentle nudge for one of our founders.
His own alcohol use sneakily led him down a path of being a high-functioning alcohol abuser. It eventually resulted in a traumatic near death experience and an extended hospital stay—one where the most likely outcome was game-over.
But through a divine intervention, God gave him a second chance. This profound spiritual experience inspired him to create Second Song—a platform to educate and inspire.
This story, however, is far from a solitary tale. It’s the very foundation on which Second Song stands—a beacon for transformation and hope. Join us to learn and grow together, sharing and inspiring within the Second Song community.
Words of Wisdom
“If you look at drinking the way you would look at anything else, which is risk-reward, what am I giving up? What am I getting? It’s some of the worst odds that ever existed.”
John Mayer
“I stopped drinking. That’s one great way of really sort of getting to know yourself is being sober. Not at the beginning. At first, I kept the alcohol industry alive. But once I realized I had a lot of work to do on myself, I stopped drinking and started working out lots to keep me sort of centered.”
Adele
“I understood, through rehab, things about creating characters. I understood that creating whole people means knowing where we come from, how we can make a mistake and how we overcome things to make ourselves stronger.”
